Peran Perpustakaan Desa Sebagai Sumber Informasi Masyarakat di Kecamatan Bathin III Kabupaten Bungo

Abstract

Introduction. This research aims to reveal the role of the Purwo Bakti Hamlet library as a source of community information in Bathin III District, Bungo Regency, the obstacles faced by the Purwo Bakti Hamlet Library as a source of community information in Bathin III District, Bungo Regency and the efforts that can be made by the Purwo Bakti Hamlet Library as a source. community information in Bathin III District, Bungo Regency.

Data Collection Methods. This thesis uses a qualitative method approach with a descriptive approach to data collection through observation, interviews and documentation.

Data Analysis. The data obtained was analyzed by being reduced, presented, and summarized.

Results and Discussion. The Purwo Bakti Hamlet Library serves as a source of information for the community, a learning resource center, a training center for agricultural practices, a catalyst for fostering a culture of reading among residents, an agent of social change for everyone from children to adults, and a bridge of communication between the community and the government to improve the well-being of Purwo Bakti Hamlet residents.

Conclusion. The Purwo Bakti Village Library is fulfilling its role effectively. The community benefits from all the programs implemented by the library.
